Full Pull and Malmö Symphonic Orchestra present an new production with the Swedish electronic/jazz/pop duo Midaircondo in collaboration with percussionist Michala Østergaard-Nielsen and three brass musicians. For this unique project Midaircondo invited Berlin-based Fubbi Karlsson to make a visual design with 3D-projections and live video on stage.

Full Pull 2011 Opening

Full Pull 2011 open with an exhibition at Stpln and performance by Martin Nordbeck. The exhibition present site specific work by Clemens Behr and for videos by Swedish artists Nadine Byrne, Fridna Franker, Tove Kjellmark and Lena Bergendahl/Rut Karin Zettergren/Jennifer Rainsford. In the basement the workshop Regnskog 2011//Full Pull is open as "installation in progress" and Martin Nordbeck's musical concept "Sopstationen" kick off the festival!

This night at the brand new Blumenbar/Prince Charles club showcases fresh takes on house and dub-laden techno, each from a unique angle. It starts with Mokira's excursions into deep space and dark atmospherics, and in the following slowly gains momentum with a highly anticipated live set by Jonsson/Alter and a DJ set by Kontra-Musik label owner Ulf Eriksson. Kassem Mosse, arguably currently one of Germany's most interesting house/techno producers will embark on 90 minutes full analog treatment, while The Mole will present one of his very rare live sets that fuse house, disco and soul elements in a truly ingenious way. The night concludes with a decidedly warped take on the house sound of now by Hyperdub und UK funky underground protagonist Ossie.

MUTEK and CTM have been frequently collaborating on various projects since CTM invited MUTEK to Berlin for the first time to create a nightly program within the 2002 CTM festival. Ever since both organizations were amongst the driving forces behind the vibrant musical exchange that developed between Montréal and Berlin, and that finally led to a larger Canadian ex-pat community of musicians in Berlin, including artists such as Mike Shannon, The Mole or Guillaume Coutu Dumont.
With this night at Blumenbar, MUTEK and CTM expand their collaboration and hook up with Full Pull and the affiliated Kontra-Musik label from Malmö, both key organizations fostering experimental and electronic music in the Öresound region.

During the 2nd Berlin Music Week, Full Pull hosts a night of the ICAS SUITE at Monarch in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Full Pull presents artists from three Nordic countries, all inspired by the mysticism of the woods of the north.

The Swedish duo Midaircondo are renowned for their extraordinary live performances of imaginative music fused with experimental visuals. In this concert Midaircondo present a special collaboration with the Danish percussionist Michala Østergaard-Nielsen.

Islaja is Merja Kokkonen, a Finnish visual artist and musician with several releases on reknowned label Fonal. Her music is well grounded in the Finnish folk tradition and deconstructed with great talent that melds organic and digital.

The Magic State is an audiovisual ongoing project initiated in 2008 by Nadine Byrne, a Swedish visual artist and musician. Every concert is a screening and every screening is a concert. A magical state of mind and a physical sovereign place.

Ulf Eriksson is the man responsible for one of the most consistently high quality techno labels in the Nordic countries - Kontra-Musik. Releases with Jason Fine (Colots EP and reworks by Oni Ayhun and Ben Klock, Gunnar Jonsson (the Muskelminne EP) Kondens (made up of Andreas Tilliander and Stefan Thor) and Mokira are a few of the names in the Kontra catalogue.

Hype Williams

In collaboration with Inkonst and singsang Full Pull present a special one-off performance from London/Berlin duo Hype Williams. Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland is not only a mix of different orgins but also of art and musical genres. A DIY pop filtered through dub and eightees hip hop. The cult reputation Hype Williams have built up over the past year is thoroughly well-deserved, with several brilliant releases and an upcoming album on Hyperdub, all of the already collector's items.

The Third Man by Erik Bünger

The Third Man is a project in the form of a performance lecture and a film. It tries to trace the footprints of an elusive entity called the third man. We hear him move between the pins of the music box; a staggering, predestined forward motion in a crude imitation of life. He takes up residence in the ecstatic body of Julie Andrews, turning seven innocent children into musical puppets, each one reduced to a note in the diatonic scale.

The second edition in Full Pull's text/speech/sound series present Swedish artist Erik Bünger with the peroformance "The Third Man". This is his second apperance at Full Pull, first was in 2007 with the performance "A lecture on schizophonia".

"As a child my father told me about the movie: In a city somewhere, a man searches for another man. Everyone he meets tells him that his search is in vain, for the other man is already dead, but he refuses to give up and suddenly he believes he catches a glimpse of the other mans face in a doorway. Then dad sat down in front of the piano and in his own tiptoeing kind of way he played The Theme from the Third Man. It made me dream of footsteps echoing in back alleys and a great, green shadow flickering by in the corner of my eye. Every time I heard that melody I had the peculiar feeling of someone observing me from a hidden viewpoint."

"The Third Man" is a coproduction with the Impakt Foundation, Utrecht in the framework of Impakt Works 2010 and has been made possible with the support of the City of Utrecht; the Mondrian Foundation.

This is a collaboration with Skånes konstförening with support from Stiftelsen framtidens kultur and Swedish Arts Council.
